I agree, the best way to stop these practises is to stop buying them.

It’s a shame! Cymbiola chrysostoma is avery endemic species, restricted to a relatively small area.  We all are surprised to see such avalanche of specimens on the shell market. What happens? This species shall be an endangered species soon. May we decide a collective ban ???

Since being locked in with the Covid-19 quarantine I have been dealing with some Indonesian dealers. One was willing to sell me 200 voluta chrysostoma for $250. And they weren’t junk shells. Perhaps this is part of what is going on with trawling. They are also bringing up lots of vespertillio.
