This is one of the problems of using common names...what is a red bug, a
chigger, etc. According to Wilderness Medicine 3rd. ed. I offer the
following
"Mites of the family Trombiculidae are distributed worldwide. In the
United States the most important species is Eutrombicula alfreddugesi (red
bug, chigger, harvest mite)."
The question that I have is whether the author of this taxon like or
dislike Alfred?
