I use plastic cassettes like PAS A6851 of Atlanta. These websites are in Dutch but the photos will give an idea.
It is easy to make piles of them up to any size you want, and they are very stable.

Onderwerp: [CONCH-L] Shell storage cabinets

Greetings Conch-L

How do you store your shell collection so you can access it easily? I am looking for suggestions on how to store my entire collection in durable, flexible cabinets which I would keep in my garage. I have looked at tool chests for this purpose, but I find they tend to have variable sized drawers which are often too deep to be efficient storage spaces for a shell collection. All suggestions welcome!
