Hello!
Hi,
I thank everyone who contributed to my question Re; Dioecious cowries.
Yes I hit the books (not Webster's) and got a pretty mixed bag. Some use
dioecious some dont.
Most use dioecious and monoecious strictly for plants. A plant having
female flowers and another (same species) having female and male
flowers, notice NOT a flower having both male and female parts ie
orchids etc. Sorry but I am still not convinced. I suppose I will fail
the GRE subject test if the question is asked about snails and the
answer is dioecious (Nah, it all molecular stuff or so my kid says).
I will stay on the hunt and let you know.
