In San Diego there is Scripp's Institute of Oceanography (actually in La
Jolla) there is a nice museum called " Birch Aquarium " admission ranges
from $3-15 depending on if your a student or not. UCSD also has a few
museums and many different study sites of mollusks, they also have a huge
library which is one of the best places if you want to know everything
about the marine world.

Also up toward Santa Barbara area, there is the Monterrey Bay aquarium. I
have been there a few times and it's a pretty nice place, they don't have
too much on Molluscs
