Dear Graham,
I am a Volutidae specialist and I am very interested in your your
knowledge on this family, particularly about bullatiana and africana.
Conchologically speaking, these two shells are very close and likely
belong to the same genus.. My questions are:
Have bodies of live animals the same color and general look?
Do they thrive in the same ecological niche (depth,bottom..)?
Are they sympatric or allopatric?
What is your opinion on this subject?
We together have had connection times ago and I remember that I have
bought an africana from you. I share too the same diving passion!
Sincerely, Pat Bail.
