If I've now read the correct original "offensive" email (Ross Mayhew, Dec. 29), all I can say is I read nothing "offensive" or inappropriate about the issues Russ raised or that such comments should not be a legitimate subject for the Conch-L forum. It's an issue that's been discussed here numerous times since I joined in 1997. And, as much as I often disagree with Ross, I always agree with his perspective that differing views and open discussion is one of the strengths and attractions of this forum. Strong views have been expressed many times over the nine years I've been part of the forum and most of those expressing their views and passion are still here and still respectfully speaking and exchanging with each other. The beauty of this forum is that everyone can choose to participate or not on any issue and just use the delete key when a subject is of no interest.

I guess I must have missed the original email with the "offensive terminology." Would someone repost it?
