I use my own digital camera with an optical microscope. a device called an
f-adapter joins the two.  The main issue here is the small dept of view.  So
far, I have gotten some great photos of fish eggs in the 1 to 2 mm range.
Next on the list for me to photograph are some recently collected Pterapods.
