I've been trying for years to find a satisfactory identification for this one, which is from the nearshore in Zanzibar: http://www.schnr-specimen-shells.com/Zanzipecten.JPG http://www.schnr-specimen-shells.com/Zanzipecten2.JPG http://www.schnr-specimen-shells.com/Zanzipectendetail.JPG It is 45mm, and the species don't get much bigger than that, to my knowledge. If someone can come up with a "definitive" moniker for it, i would be grateful!!
