Richard,

Suggest you re-evalutate your identification.  Conus violaceus Gmelin, 1791
is usually found off East Africa.  To my knowledge it has not been reported
from the Philippines.

You may want to consider Conus glans Hwass, 1792.  One of the synonyms of
Conus glans is Conus violaceus Link, 1807 (note the different author).
