Hi Conchlers, I have a question for you. I have been re-labeling some
shells and have come across a seeming mystery for the common jingle shells.
Is the correct author D'Orbigny or Orbigny or d'Orbigny? I have seen it
written in each of those ways. Also is the year 1842 or 1853 for this
publication? Dr. Harry Lee and Jaxshells has it d'Orbigny, 1853 but Trish
Hartmann in the Florida Bivalve book has it as Orbigny, 1842. Can anyone
explain this contradiction? Thanks. Bert Bartleson in cold, windy, Olympia
