Just a thought, but consider this:

I'm in a fraternal org that publishes membership every 5 years.  It is
to long of a time.

What rings in my mind is an up-datable book.  A binder that you get a
subscription
addition every year and in that subscription, prior pages that had changes.

As example, you start out with a 200 page binder.  Next year you get 58
pages.  8 of those were from within the 200 and the other 50 add on to
your now 250 page book.  Some or all of the '8' could be new pages or
replacement pages.  (name changes and new finds might expand chapters)

That seems to work well on the volumes I have to update in the Fraternal
org that
have updates.
