THE DEADLINE FOR SALE OF MARINE BIOLOGY AND FRESHWATER/LAND MOLLUSKS LIBRARY COLLECTIONS IS ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY. SEND US YOUR OFFERS NOW ([log in to unmask]) FOR ONE OR ALL OF THESE COLLECTIONS. WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING OFFERS UNTIL FEBRUARY 29TH!

I have been tasked with the distribution of a fairly large private marine and freshwater mollusks library to be sold in sections in silent auction at the end of the month. The book list is only being distributed to scientists/ naturalists in the hopes that the material actually goes to someone who can use it. The library has over 675 items and has been divided into collections representing THREE general subject areas: (1) FRESHWATER/ TERRESTRIAL MOLLUSKS, (2) MARINE MOLLUSKS, and (3) MARINE BIOLOGY. Each of the three collections is to be sold SEPARATELY as a unit via silent auction; with each going to the highest bidder(s). Northeast Natural History & Supply will be overseeing the auction and eventual dispersal of the collection. OFFERS CAN BE SUBMITTERD via email to [log in to unmask] or in writing to the address provided below.

Among the three collections can be found Agassiz' "Coral Reefs of the Tropical Pacific ("Albatross Expedition")", "Catalogo de la Malacofauna Antartica Argentina" by Carcelles, Sowerby's "Thesaurus Conchyliorum", Burch's "Freshwater Snails of North America", "Recent Lymnaeidae" by Hubendick, "Molluscan Taxa Described by Tadashige Habe" by Okamoto, all six volumes of Libbie Hyman's "The Invertebrates", an early complete set of "Contributions of the Bermuda Biological Station", and a rare signed and dedicated copy of "Disposito Systematica Conchyiarum Terrestrium et Fluviatilium quae Adservantur in Collectione Fratrum Ant. Et Ju Bapt. Villa" by Villa and Villa (1841). As an added bonus, alate 20th Century copy of Darwin's "Geologic Observations... of South America Visited during the Voyage of the H.M.S. Beagle" is included in the Marine Biology portion of the collection.

EACH LIST IS AVAILABLE digitally in Portable Document Format (pdf file) upon request by electronic mail ([log in to unmask]) or in writing to Northeastern Natural History & Supply. Collection lists are also available for viewing ONLINE at: https://sites.google.com/site/northeastnaturalhistory/home/classroom-news/invertebratezoologylibraryupforauction

BID OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL FEBRUARY 29TH (LEAP YEAR) OF 2016 ONLY. Bidders will be notified by March 6th.

Copies of previous lists of individual books for sale in other disciplines (Marine Mammals, Geology/Paleontology, Fishes, etc.) are available upon request.
