To all

About the above mentioned shells are descripted in 4 publications. Here in
Holland, we can't find the books. The only thing we need is a (digital)
picture of these shells. I would very appreciate if anyone could help. We
need the pictures for a cross-check in a article.

1. Strombus vanikorensis Quoy and Gaimard, d'Urville's Voy.
L'Astrolabe, Zoologie, vol. 3, p. 73, pl. 51, figs. 7-9 (Vanikoro).
2. Strombus taeniatus Quoy and Gaimard, ibid., p. 75, pl. 51, figs.
14-15 (Amboine)
3. Strombus gibbus "Martini" Issel and T.-Canefri, Annali Mus. Civico
Storia Nat. Genova, vol. 8, p. 344; 1895, R. Bergh, Zoologische
Jahrbucher, Jena, vol. 8, pp. 359-362, pl. 23, figs 50-53 (anatomy).
4. Strombus vanicorensis Quoy, Tryon, Manual of Conch., Phila., vol. 7,
p. 110.

The pictures of these shells are the most important. The description is less
important, but if possible, please.

Thanks in advance
Alex
