I've never collected a Recluzia lutea but I did collect a Recluzia palmeri
Dall which is also a rare shell.  This was a live specimen actually in a
tide pool in the upper Gulf of California just north of Cholla Bay on the
Sonora side of the Gulf.  This was illustrated in the July 1995 Hawaiian
Shell News vol. 43, no. 7,  page 2.  The shell, hoever, was only 9 mm.
