Dear Listers,
After a long silence following the exercise in San Diego, the hammer
initiating the COA Oral Auction will hit the dais a week from this
evening on Captiva Island.
Illustrator John Timmerman has produced volume 2 of his 2019 auction
teaser/previews with new photos on a white, printer friendly background,
and lead COA website liaison (and VP) Karlynn Morgan has facilitated its
posting to
<https://conchologistsofamerica.org/conventions/2019-new-auction-preview-printer-friendly/>.
There are eight pages for your perusal; see instructions at the bottom
of the landing page. The hard-copy catalogue (valued at five dollars),
which is illuminated with different mages of these and many other
specimen lots, will be provided gratis to most all conventioneers upon
registration.
As you can see, there will be plenty of rarities in play, thanks to the
largesse of late COA members Frederic Weiss and Walter Paine and other
generous friends of the our organization.
Remember, all proceeds from this annual event are earmarked for the COA
Academic Grants Program, about which registrants will be hearing a lot
more very soon.
See you soon,
Harry
