Two areas that have produced a number of Murex rubidus for me are the
Sister Creek area at the s.w. end of Vaca Key (Marathon) and off Harry
Harris County Park (Tavernier). In both cases, a considerable amount of
time was spent in 1 - 2 meters of water using a rigid net on rubble and
grass bottom. I've found several dozen in all, red, orange, brown & white,
nearly black, etc.
