I know some Conch-L members also collect Floridian fossils. Does anyone
know if the Leisey Shell Pit in Ruskin is still open and operating? I
visited there in 1990 and I'll be attending the American Malacological
Society meeting in July. I'd love to visit Leisey again if it is
operating.

Also, does one need a permit to collect fossils in Florida as one needs to
collect Recent mollusks?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Regards,
Charlie
