This was about 3 inches in length, the C. brevifrons was a bit longer. I left all the live shells due to the presence of conscientious dive masters; my greed didn't prevail. (And I couldn't locate other live Voluta musica or C. brevifrons in shallow water this trip).
I did score a near perfect wine-red Lyropecten nodosus pair at Los Frailes. And there will probably be pictures of some of these mollusks underwater.
