Thanks to Paul for posting the text of the Times article. I have had the
other site bookmarked for a long time.
It is unfortunate that the author of this article did not have someone
familiar with the Code review his paper. He states that "all creatures are
binomial" (I won't mention that it is the names to which he intends to
refer, not the creatures). This is very old usage as our system of
nomenclature is properly a binominal system and all species names are
binominal. The term binomial has been left for mathematicians.
It is unfortunate that the late Bill Clench never discovered a new species
of Pupa (pronounced poo pa). It was his long-time ambition to name a Pupa
dupa.
