About the same time that Bob is talking about, I literally saw thousands of
them washed up on Mullet key (Ft. Desoto Beach). They were all fresh dead, and
I picked up about 20 of them. In 7 years of walking this beach, I probably
only saw 2 or 3 broken ones in this time. There were many other locals who
where there, and they said they had never seen them.      Scott
