Doug; I was as surprised as you to find it wasn't a big miter but I think
it's a Muricidae. Pete

Subject: Pleiptygma helenae, Miter or Murex?

There is a fellow selling this shell (actually 2) on ebay and he/she claims
it is a Muricidae. Is that true? If so I need to move it around in my
catalog (serves me right for trying to use systematics to organize my
collection).
Thanks.

Doug
