I've been contacted by someone wanting to do an article for a popular
magazine on the Alabama state shell. Anyone have a good photo of the
johnstonae form that you'd like to see in print? My Scaphella
collecting is mostly Pliocene, plus a fresh piece from off NC and a
worn, long-beached specimen from south Florida, neither of which are
handy, photogenic, or this variety.
