Dear Fabio,
it seems to me that in "An Atlas of cowrie  radulae" by Bradner & Kay, 1996
only  13 (not 31) patterns are mentioned and these patterns "are remarkably
consistent with M. Schilder and F. Schilder's (1971) generic arrangements of
the cowries."
