Carole,

You may want to use the good old ASCII character set for that. For the é in José type the key ALT and the numerical characters 130, for the è in Bruguière type ALT + 0232, for the "o slash" in Mørch go for ALT + 0248, etc.

For a complete list of these characters google diacritical marks, or ASCII character set, or accents for PC, etc.

Hello to all,
 I was wondering if anyone knows how to easily add diacritic marks in WORD version 2003 . I am talking about the  o in Mørch and the e in Bruguiére and such. In the old Wordperfect program before WORD,  there was a code and you could have a list next to the computer with the code for each letter or symbol. It was a lot simpler
 I know you can go to insert > Symbol > and then find the letter you want then click insert then go back to your document until the next time you need something. That is quite a process. Is there an easier way?
