Doug Jeffrey is in FL but his wife Lani is in the Philippines.  He said in
an email about 24 hrs. ago that he had no word from her and that where she
was received a direct hit from the typhoon.   I also rec'd the Poppe email
and one from another contact, which is amazing, given the vivid photos and
reports of damage since the storm.

Poppe sent an email overnight to his subscriber list saying that he
and his group, at least, at their location, were more or less
unscathed. You can probably find the whole thing on his website. In
fact, they launch right into their current online auction at the same
