Dear Listers,

A decade or so ago, the proper generic assignment of the peripatetic 
Brown Garden Snail <http://www.jaxshells.org/cornu.htm> was a topic 
of discussion in this forum, to wit

Thanks to Dr. Rob Cowie and the ICZN, this uncertainty was put to 
rest last month.
