I saw some and glad you found what you looked for.  The Lieut. might be
related - grandfather - into shells and kept the family in Australia
as the commonwealth transformed into what we have today.

In any case, the Journal might shed light for someone in the group.
He was in the Delta of the Indus river doing shell Survey.
Might not be much shelling in the paper, maybe just that he did.
I didn't download the PDF to read his entry.
