The Central American land shell literature is fairly scattered, but a good
bibliography for the region is found in the back of Tucker Abbott's
"Compendium of Land Shells,"  page 202;  though most of the literature
listed in the bibliography is out  of print.  In recent years, Fred
Thompson has been involved with research on the Mexican land fauna.  You
might contact Kurt Auffenberg - [log in to unmask] -  for more details
about his colleague's work.  They both may be able to help you with leads
to more recent terrestrial fauna surveys of Costa Rica and Panama.
