Patella caerulea Linnaeus, 1758 is a valid species
and occurs in the Mediterranea, specially also
in the Northern Adria near Venice and Chioggia,
down the whole Adriatic and gets very large
  in Corsica

> Patella vulgata is a valid species and not synonym
with Patella ulyssiponensis. I can't be synonym
with this species as Patella ulyssiponensi was
discribed by Gmelin, 1791. The syn of Patella
ulyssiponensis is Patella aspera Röding, 1798
  a nomen dubium
