I guess most Conchlers know this already, but for those that don't -
most Cephalopods (Octopi and squid) have incredible vision: they are
very active, highly intelligent predators that have excellent eyes and
optic nerves so large they are intensively studied by all sorts of
scientists. There are a good variety of pages on the net that describe
the eyes, vision, and guesses/musings about the evolution about the eyes
of the Cephalopods.
