Hi, Listers!
In this old collection I have found a shell which I cannot i.d. It is about an inch, white, with crenulations on the shoulder. The outstanding feature of this shell is the heavy callousing of both lip and columella. The lip, with teeth, extends up the side of the shell at almost a quarter of an inch; there are a few brown dots on the edge where it meets the body whorl. The columella is heavily calloused, with one denticle towards the anterior of the shell. I can send you a blurry scan of the aperture, if that would help.
Please contact me off list. Oh, the bulk of the foreign shells in this collection are from Australia or New Zealand.
Thanks,
Linda Bush,
St. Louis, MO
