I don't believe that for a moment. Who published this? P. sulcatus
(synonym: mandarinus) is sexually dimorphic (females are larger and
develop peripheral nodes; males tens to lack nodes) but not very
variable. If there are intergrades with P. waitei, I would suggest
hybridization.
