Hi Nancy,

Happy Thanksgiving.

Just an FYI, I am planning on coming to the Melbourne Show.
That is a weekend I have off and can make it to Florida.
Not exhibiting, just socializing.

Hope you'll get up to their show.
Leslie

Center,1801 NE 6th Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33061, USA. The 2012 Show
is open to the Public and admission is FREE! We have confirmed a full
compliment of specimen shell and shell-related dealers, most returning from
our last show and also including a few first-time dealers. Exhibitors may
download the entry form and show rules on our website,browardshellclub.org.
Major awards presented include the Conchologists of America (COA), DuPont,
American Museum of Natural History and Best of the Best. Special club
trophies include Len Hill Memorial for Most Beautiful Exhibit, Jim VunKannon
Memorial Florida/Caribbean, Betty Hamann Memorial Fossil Trophy, Neil Hepler
Memorial for Education Excellence, Fay Mucha Memorial for Best Collectibles,
Shell of the Show (2 - self-collected and any manner), and various
specialized artistic trophies including Best Sailor's Valentine. A new
trophy will be presented next year, the Gerrit deGraff Memorial, presented
to a single shell that, in the opinion of the Judges, represents a large and
exceptional specimen of a chosen species. The Judges will be looking at size
and quality for this specimen that reflects Mr. deGraaf’s love for
outstanding, sizable specimen shells. There will also be a Shell ID Clinic.
There is a great hotel package available for those who are visiting from out
of town. We hope you'll join our friendly, fun-loving club for our shell
show weekend. We'll have a great time!!! If you have any questions, please
contact me at [log in to unmask] or call 305-467-4412. Very best regards,
