The deadline for bids on the Freshwater/land Mollusk Collection, Marine Mollusks Collection, and Marine Biology Collections of books is TOMORROW FEBRUARY 29th AT MIDNIGHT (U.S. ESA).  All offers will be considered on each of the three book collection SEPARATELY with each go to the highest bidder via silent auction. SEND US YOUR OFFERS NOW ([log in to unmask]) for one or all of these great collections.  ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED AND BUT WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING OFFERS UNTIL FEBRUARY 29TH!

In its entirety, the library has over 675 items and has been divided into collections representing THREE general subject areas; each to be sold separately: (1) FRESHWATER/ TERRESTRIAL MOLLUSKS, (2) MARINE MOLLUSKS, and (3) MARINE BIOLOGY. Northeast Natural History & Supply will be overseeing the auction and eventual dispersal of the collection. OFFERS CAN BE SUBMITTERD via email to [log in to unmask] or in writing to the address provided below.

Works included in these three collections include Agassiz' "Coral Reefs of the Tropical Pacific (the "Albatross Expedition")", "Catalogo de la Malacofauna Antartica Argentina" by Carcelles, Sowerby's "Thesaurus Conchyliorum", Burch's "Freshwater Snails of North America", "Recent Lymnaeidae" by Hubendick, "Molluscan Taxa Described by Tadashige Habe" by Okamoto, Connolly's "Survey of South African Non-Marine Mollusks", all six volumes of  Libbie Hyman's "The Invertebrates", an early complete set of "Contributions of the Bermuda Biological Station", as well as a rare signed and dedicated copy of "Disposito Systematica Conchyiarum Terrestrium et Fluviatilium quae Adservantur in Collectione Fratrum Ant. Et Ju Bapt. Villa" by Villa and Villa (1841). As an added bonus, a rare early copy of Darwin's "Geological Observations of the Volcanic Islands.. of South America Visited during the Voyage of the H.M.S. Beagle" in the Marine Biology portion of the collection.

BID OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL FEBRUARY 29TH (LEAP YEAR) OF 2016 ONLY.  Bidders will be notified by March 6th.

Copies of previous lists of individual books for sale in other disciplines (Marine Mammals, Geology/Paleontology, Fishes, etc.) are available upon request.
