Good Day.
This subject has been kicked around b-4 but it's always worth another
go-around.
Most collectors keep track of data in the following manner, (this doesn't
mean you have to)
  basic data Example=
Latin name , Author and Date, habitat , location
scientific data label example=
catalog number, genus , family , species name(latin), Author & Date,
location, habitat, water depth, salinity, GPS cordinates, date found, tide
IE high or low, name of who found it and lastly a "notes" area.
I finbd a middle ground to work best for me . this doesn't indicate that
anything less is unacceptible , don't even go there AGAIN. mark
