Hi, everyone!
I am working on the taxonomy of one of our common food species, Turbo cornutus Lightfoot, 1786.
I am trying to find the reference to this species in the Duchess of Portland's auction catalogue, where Lightfoot (1786) made the reference, now considered a valid description. I went through the entire catalogue but could not find it. If someone can point out this reference, it would be quite helpful.
Also, a paper by Fukuda (2017, Nomenclature of the horned turbans previously known as Turbo cornutus [Lightfoot], 1786 and Turbo chinensis Ozawa & Tomida, 1995 (Vetigastropoda: Trochoidea: Turbinidae) from China, Japan and Korea, gvves our species (Japan and Korea) the name (Turbo sazae (Fukuda, 2017), while stating that T. cornutus is now restricted to Taiwan and China. I would like to obtain a copy of this paper but, so far, have not been successful.
Any help me with those references would be much appreciated.
All the best!
