Several sources for information on authors of taxa include:
Treatise of Invertebrate Paleontology...the volumes on mollusks are
complete, though out of date, for the bivalvia and I believe cephalopoda.
The gastropoda were never finished.

For marine molluks one can also refer to Rosenberg, The Encyclopedia of
Seashells.
