I think the strangest place I have ever found one
of my treasures was in the pocket of an old pair of
jeans. I used them for collecting in the field, and I had
placed a live moon snail in my pocket and forgot all about it.
Weeks later, after the jeans had gone through the wash several
times, I found the tiny moon, the animal dried inside, and, amazingly,
it bore no odor!
