Thanks!  Do any shell or book dealers have bridal registries?  I suppose
wedding-cake shells (Bassina) would be appropriate.

Naming shells after one's spouse is also popular, tying into the topic.  Along
the vein of Art's etymologies, I suggest that Conus demissus Philippi, Mytilus
demissus Dillwyn, and Pecten demissus Phillips were all named after their wives:
"Dis one looks nice.  I'll name it for de missus."
