Early on, the system was relatively simple, with everyone picking them up
and Mom and Dad doing the systematic work, writing, etc.  By now, it is
just as far for us to reach down and pick things up as it is for them.
Specialization on particular groups or ages helps divide things up, but
papers will generally make the rounds for editorial help no matter what the
topic.
