Years ago (1970's) when I was just a collector I was on a trip to the
Philippines. I asked the Philippino I was with, if the natives ate any of the
shells. He said, almost all were eaten. When I asked which were not, he said
the egg cowrie. When I asked why not, he said they didn't taste good. See how
simple life is! It all comes down to if it taste's good or not.

Frank (getting cold and a little snow? in Massachusetts) Go Sox!
