Dear Kurt,
These are my six cents' worth (in context; your three taxa):

Dentalium americanum Chenu, 1843 is a senior subjective synonym of D.
texasianum Philippi, 1848 and should replace that name. Turgeon, Quinn, et al.
[Turgeon, D. D., J. F. Quinn, Jr., A. E. Bogan, E. V. Coan, F. G. Hochberg, W.
G. Lyons, P. M. Mikkelsen, R. J. Neves, C. F. E. Roper, G. Rosenberg, B. Roth,
A. Scheltema, F. G. Thompson, M. Vecchione and J. D. Williams, 1998.
Common and
scientific names of aquatic invertebrates from the United States and Canada:
mollusks, 2nd edition. American Fisheries Society, Special Publication 26,
Bethesda, Maryland.] agreed.

>Conus jaspideus (need current name in northern Gulf of Mexico)
my solution is Conus jaspideus stearnsii Conrad, 1869
An admitted cop-out as this taxon was given full species rank, distinct from C.
jaspideus Gmelin, 1791, by Vink [Vink, D. L. N., 1991. The Conidae of the
western Atlantic: part 15. La Conchiglia 22(261): 10-21.] but placed in
synonymy
with that taxon by Costa [Costa, F. H. A., 1994. On the Conus jaspideus
complex
of the western Atlantic (Gastropoda: Conidae). Veliger 37(2): 204-213. April
1.]. Turgeon, Quinn, et al. [Turgeon, D. D., J. F. Quinn, Jr., A. E. Bogan, E.
V. Coan, F. G. Hochberg, W. G. Lyons, P. M. Mikkelsen, R. J. Neves, C. F. E.
Roper, G. Rosenberg, B. Roth, A. Scheltema, F. G. Thompson, M. Vecchione and J.
D. Williams, 1998. Common and scientific names of aquatic invertebrates from
the United States and Canada: mollusks, 2nd edition. American Fisheries
Society,
Special Publication 26, Bethesda, Maryland.] sided with Vink.

>Argopecten irradians concentricus (need current name for populations in the
>northern Gulf of Mexico)
These are best called A. irradians taylorae Petuch, 1987, but Turgeon,
Quinn, et
al. [Turgeon, D. D., J. F. Quinn, Jr., A. E. Bogan, E. V. Coan, F. G. Hochberg,
W. G. Lyons, P. M. Mikkelsen, R. J. Neves, C. F. E. Roper, G. Rosenberg, B.
Roth, A. Scheltema, F. G. Thompson, M. Vecchione and J. D. Williams, 1998.
Common and scientific names of aquatic invertebrates from the United States and
Canada: mollusks, 2nd edition. American Fisheries Society, Special Publication
26, Bethesda, Maryland.] used A. i. concentricus.
See Marelli, D. C., M. K. Krause, W. S. Arnold, and W. G. Lyons, 1997.
Systematic relationships among Florida populations of Argopecten irradians
(Lamarck, 1819) (Bivalvia: Pectinidae). Nautilus 110(2): 31-41. Feb. 19.
...and...
Marelli, D. C., W. G. Lyons, W. S. Arnold, and M. K. Krause, 1997. Subspecific
status of Argopecten irradians concentricus (Say, 1822) and of the Bay Scallps
of Florida. Nautilus 110(2): 42-44. Feb. 19.
