Hi to all Conch-Lers, specially Helmut!

As you already know, I collected a Conus auratinus in the island of Aunu'u,
American Samoa, and decided to donate it to a Museum.

Drums and trumpets!! And the winner is ... Helmut "The Flash" Nisters and
the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum Innsbruck!!!

The shell will be sent to Helmut next Monday by priority mail.

I just "forgot" to show the other half of that special shell, that is now
available in the Conch-L image page:
http://www.geocities.com/conchlimages/MOREIRA.html

Not more than 3 "seconds" after my first message was posted in the Internet,
a message from Helmut "The Flash" Nisters arrived, what makes him the winner
of that prize.

Now, with all that mess about Helmut quitting Conch-L, maybe this joke can
be misunderstood, but it is just a joke. When I collected that shell in
Samoa, the very first person I remembered was Helmut (what can also be
understood by some people as a bad dream in a dream vacation ;-)) just
kidding!). I knew that in the very first moment the announce was made here,
he would ask for it. And that is funny thing of spending part of our days
here at Conch-L.

The same happens when I see a pig and I try to see if it has wings; or when
I remember all the stressy life of Don in Samoa controlling 3 flights a
month; and Emilio, and Betty Jean, and Tom, and Mark, and...

All of us have our bad part. Let's try to see the best part of our neighbor
and expect that all the others see just our best part and forgive our
mistakes.

Yes, Helmut, sometimes you annoy me, but as other people already said, I
just delete the message.

And, Helmut, don't quit the list. A president of Brazil tried to do the same
thing in the sixties, thinking that after his resignation he would come back
with the cheers of the crowd... and was forgotten by the people, that lived
very happy without him. Here you are a part of this "nutty" family called
Conch-L.

Cheers,

Eduardo Moreira
Missing his beautiful South Pacific suntan that fades away little by little
everyday

PS: Helmut, I expect that your Conus auratinus find a "special" place in the
Museum collection. It (the shell, not the Museum) deserves it. ;-))
