The listed world record (Registry of World Record Size Shells - 1999) is
(was) 204.8 mm. - West Florida, 1956.  However, Johnsonia Vol. III,
Number 35, lists a specimen measuring 205 mm. collected in
Goose Cove, Cedar Key.  I could find nothing to indicate that it is
the same specimen as listed in the registry.

I personally wouldn't be surprised if one larger than 205 mm. has been
collected but never submitted for record size listing.  There are some
real monsters in the Halifax River/Spruce Creek/Rose Bay.
