Try a larger or more gracious gift at holiday season next year , I find this
keeps my mail from being crushed, spindled or mutilated. It seems that as
for recourse there is really nothing that will insure proper handling other
then my before mentioned suggestion. Going to "his" boss will only result in
you finding more problems ... I have found that even if you use insurance
this doesn't help as they just have to say " I delivered it!!" and the buck
stops there . so good luck, maybe find out from a neighbor what the
mailpersons favorite cookies or something like that and make a "nice"
gift... I know this doesn't help with your anger about the destruction of
the parcel but recourse will USUALLY result in even worse service . remember
these are Gov. employees and are underappreciated, overworked and underpaid
but yet they get 90% of the mail delivered ontime ...better then any other
system out there at the cost of 35 cents a piece....Ferret
