This looks a lot like Zachrysia provisoria (Pfeiffer, 1858), a Cuban
snail that was introduced into Florida, and has gradually spread to
other areas.  I recently saw it on a list of introduced pests found in
Arizona.  Could it have reached Kentucky?  But, I'm no land snail
specialist.  Maybe there is a local species in your area that looks
similar.  I await the opinion of the terrestrial experts.
