If you live where shell shows are within reasonable distance, the best way
to get to know dealers and their wares is to visit these shows. The best of
the year, of course, is the first - Astronaut Trail Shell Club in Melbourne,
Florida (boy am I going to get grief from the other clubs). But, there are
others.

Dear folks,

I'm new at the Coch-L mailing. Hi people!
I've been collecting for 20 years now accross the globe, thanks to the many
travels I undertook for the company I worked for. I have mainly a marine
worldwide collection, with no specific specialisation.
I always collected myself or with afriend or with my wife, never bought a
single shell. I noticed that my collection isn't enlarging that much any
more, because all of the rarer stuff or from areas I never visited, I
couldn't obtain. I'd like to know from experienced collectors who are good
and reliant dealers with a wide range to offer (been surfing around, found
a big deal, can't choose). Maybe you all can help me out? Noticed also that
there are on some occasions online auctions, what is your oppinion about
this? Are the shells/prices any good, which are there? I have time enough
now to surf around because I'm retired since a while.

Hope to receive some usefull tips.

Gene Poultry.
