I study Pomecea gigas from Peru, but Pain (1960) said
that this is a junior sinonym of P. maculata, but his
localitys are so diferent and so far than mines.My
specimenes are agree with Alderson 1921.So the eggs of
them are withe and I did not see Pomaceas white eggs
on the  amazon river.
Can any body send me by attachment an original
description of P. maculata Perry 1810
