Hi, Conch-Lers!

I am struggling with a Murex (Hexaplex?)
problem - I have two specimens from
Margarita Island. They have three axial
varices, non-spinose, one spine on the
siphonal canal, which looks as if it
might have been longer before the shells
were beached. There are about three rows
of beads between varices, and the colors
are one tan, one gray, with two or three
darker spiral bands. I would be inclined
to call them woodringi.... Can someone
help me?

Thanks,
Linda
